Cameran Eubanks and Thomas Ravenel are among the Southern Charm stars who have stepped away from the Bravo hit over the years.

Viewers were introduced to Eubanks when Southern Charm premiered in 2014. The reality series focuses on the personal and professional lives of several socialites in Charleston, South Carolina. After participating as a main cast member in six seasons, Eubanks shocked fans when she announced her departure in May 2020.

That same month, Eubanks shut down claims that she left due to her husband, Jason Wimberly, being unfaithful. “It has come to my attention that insidious rumors are now spreading and fake articles are being written … some of which pertain to my marriage,” she wrote via Instagram at the time.

At the time, the South Carolina native stood by her decision not to return to Southern Charm. “You must protect what is sacred to you. Some things aren’t worth a big paycheck,” she continued. “What upsets me the most is that my husband, who is the most sincere and faithful human I know is being falsely dragged into this. It disgusts me. He always supported me filming the show even though he wanted no part of the spotlight.”

Ahead of the show’s eight season, Eubanks explained that she has no plans to come back. “If I was to ever go back on television, it would have to be something boring that didn’t involve fighting or having to talk about people,” she exclusively told Us Weekly in April 2022. “It would have to be a whole different — no, I couldn’t do it.”

Cameran Eubanks

Eubanks starred on the Bravo series for six seasons before her May 2020 exit. Since then, the Real World: San Diego alum has released her first book, One Day You’ll Thank Me, in February 2021. Eubanks also continues to gush over daughter Palmer, who was born in 2017.

In May 2018, two women accused the former politician of sexual assault, including his kids’ former nanny. Ravenel, who shares two children with ex Kathryn Dennis, was arrested in September 2018 for the alleged assault, which he denied.

Ravenel pled guilty to third-degree assault and battery in connection to the attack on the nanny. He paid a $500 fine and donated $80,000 to a sexual assault survivors' charity.

After being fired from the show, Ravenel chose to keep a low profile on social media. He welcomed son Jonathan with Heather Mascoe in June 2020.

Landon Clements

Clements appeared on the reality series for three seasons before calling it quits in 2017. After her exit, Clements moved to Los Angeles to become a real estate advisor. She has used her social media to highlight her various vacations and her reunions with Southern Charm cast members such as Shep Rose.

Following her split from Austen Kroll, Meissner appeared as a main cast member during seasons 5 and 6. Since her departure, the former Bravo personality has documented her travels on social media and stayed in touch with several of her Southern Charm cast members.

Meissner made a small return to reality TV alongside former Survivor costar Kim Spradlin-Wolfe in HGTV's Why the Heck Did I Buy This House? in April 2022.

In April 2023, she announced that she is pregnant with her first child. "You just never know what God has in store for you," Meissner captioned a video of ultrasound pictures via Instagram, revealing she’s due in September. Though she didn't reveal the identity if her child's father, she did tease that she is "lucky to have one hell of a man!"

Limehouse retired from reality TV after two seasons on Southern Charm. The jewelry designer got engaged to Mark McBride Jr in February 2020. After exchanging vows later that year, the pair announced that they were expecting their first child. Limehouse welcomed their son in December 2020.

The South Carolina native is also the owner of Snaffle Bit Bracelet Company and candle company Private Label by PCC.

After her short stint on Southern Charm, King left Charleston and moved to Los Angeles. The former reality star, who has preferred to stay low key on social media, last offered a glimpse at her life in August 2021.

Following her split from Ravenel, Jacobs started dating Mike Appel in 2019. The duo tied the knot in March 2021 and welcomed son Grayson later that year. Jacobs currently lives in California with her family.

OG cast member Dennis announced her exit from the series after eight seasons in January 2023, calling her time on Bravo a “wild ride” in a statement. “Can you believe I was 21 when I first started filming Southern Charm, back in its first season? That was in 2013, and in the decade that followed, it’s safe to say my life changed in ways I could never imagine,” she added. “It hasn’t always been easy, but I’m so lucky to have had reality cameras there, capturing so many moments that I’ll never forget (and a few, even, that I’d like to).”

The day of her exit announcement, Dennis — who continues to coparent with Ravenel — hinted at a new beginning via Instagram. “In order to rise from its own ashes, a phoenix first must burn. – Octavia Butler,” she captioned a photo of herself holding a drink.

RAVENEL, S.C. (WCBD) – Traffic patterns, potholes, speeding, and more – our team is working to find solutions to problems that are driving you crazy on the roads.

Over the past few weeks, News 2 has heard from many of you about problems on the roadways – but one issue had stood out more than the others: the intersection of SC-165 and Highway 17.

Nearly a dozen people who reached out about the intersection in Ravenel called it extremely dangerous. We met with many of those viewers to learn more.

Jack Scarborough said large vehicles, like tractor-trailers, approach the intersection at a high rate of speed, often running the red light and causing accidents that are sometimes deadly.

“When you hear that fire engine, with the siren going, and you can tell that it’s stopping at that intersection, you’re like ‘oh geez, there’s another accident,’ and ‘God, I just hope no one is seriously injured or dead,’” said Scarborough.

Another Ravenel resident, Joan Van Scyoc, said this intersection has worried her family for over a decade.

She said it’s hard to see oncoming traffic when you’re turning north and that the speed limit should be reduced ahead of the signal.

“It’s death-defying, sometimes, to make this turn. Especially now that traffic is increasing quite a bit in the area, and they’re going at a high rate of speed,” said Scyoc.

Both Jack and Joan say having a left turn arrow – turning north onto 165 from 17 – would solve most of the problems.

We took their concerns to the South Carolina Department of Transportation (SCDOT), and now we’re letting you know that a solution may soon become a reality.

Kelly Moore, Director of Public Engagement for SCDOT said a project is underway that will add a left turn arrow to the northbound 17 left turn at the intersection.

The project is expected to go out for bid this month, and once a contract is awarded, SCDOT will have more information regarding the timeline and cost.

HOLLYWOOD, S.C. (WCSC) - After over two months, an abandoned mobile home on the side of Davison Road remains, even with residents expressing concerns to a handful of officials and departments.

The trailer sits very close to a fairly busy road that large trucks often travel on, and residents who live in the area are fed up.

“As you look at it, it’s falling apart, there could be squatters that might be in there and you never know what might be hidden in there,” Poplar Grove resident Sherri Loew said. “My main concern it just getting it out of our neighborhood.”

The potential traffic hazards the trailer presents is just one concern residents have, another being environmental impacts.

Those who live in the Poplar Grove community and several who travel Davison Road are frustrated the trailer has sat in the same spot for months.

“We’re all wondering why isn’t the owner responsible?” Loew asked. “Why aren’t they ticketing them or fining them or finding them to get rid of it?”

Although the trailer was dumped in the Ravenel area, it’s technically in the town of Hollywood’s jurisdiction.

Town officials from both Ravenel and Hollywood have confirmed they will be joining forces to demolish and remove the mobile home. But as of Friday, it remains.

“We keep hearing that it’s going to be demolished, while meanwhile the weeks are going by and it’s still here,” Poplar Grove resident Roxane Dimatteo said. “We heard last week it’ll probably be demolished this week, but it’s Friday and it’s still here. So, what’s next? What do we need to do?”

The town of Ravenel says the work to remove the home cannot begin until the owner signs a letter of authorization.

“The wheels of government have been slow to roll, but now they’re moving with the wheels of Hollywood and the wheels and Ravenel and putting a little horsepower behind it,” concerned resident Jerry Gray said. “So, very optimistically but with a little dash of caution this thing will be gone sometime soon.”

It’s unclear when the town will get back that signed letter.

RAVENEL, S.C. (WCBD) – A 21-year-old emaciated horse was rescued from a property in Ravenel earlier this month, according to the Charleston Animal Society.

A deputy with the Charleston County Sheriff’s Office was dispatched to a property on Jacksonboro Road on August 9 for a welfare check after a witness reported concerns about the horse’s condition.

According to an affidavit from the sheriff’s office, the brown female horse – named Strawberry – was found emaciated on the property with no access to fresh hay or clean potable water.

Strawberry’s hooves were extremely cracked and overgrown, the affidavit said. It’s ribs and spine were easily visible in photos provided by the Charleston Animal Society.

Advocates said the owner was found in a house across the street and allegedly told deputies that he buys Strawberry hay once a month and had her de-wormed every three months.

“The sheriff’s office seized the horse and brought her to Charleston Animal Society to recover. An equine specialist veterinarian determined the horse had a body condition score of 1 [out of 9] on the Henneke Equine Body Condition Score Chart, which meant she was very thin and emaciated,” the animal society said.

The owner, Mark Jones, is being charged with ill-treatment of animals, which is a felony in South Carolina, for not providing proper nourishment nor adequate veterinary care for Strawberry.

An equine veterinarian also noted that the horse’s hooves were in bad condition and said she had a sore on her face from the halter being left on for an extended period.

Additionally, animal advocates said Strawberry had ticks in her ears and on her body along with a fungal skin condition.

Strawberry is recovering with a foster family.

Before its construction, the first bridge to cross the lower Cooper River opened in 1929, eventually named the John P. Grace Memorial Bridge. After many years of serving the two cities and millions of crossers, the bridge was transformed once again into the then Silas N.
